Doctor was rude and dismissive on my first visit, did not believe any of the symptoms I was having were real. I spent less than ten minutes speaking to her before she began pushing an antidepressant despite my repeated insistence I was not comfortable taking it. On the second visit, I had to press her to run a simple blood test that came back abnormal- but she never followed up and I wasn’t aware of it until much later. She continued imply my symptoms weren’t real, and sent me to what turned out to be a substance rehab program, which I did not belong in. I felt incredibly insulted, but I completed it anyway. At a third appointment she refused to run further tests, even though I had jumped through the hoops she’d asked and still felt terrible. I booked with different doctor at the clinic after that, but she must have left a note in my file, because that doctor refused to run tests and seemed to trust her assessment.After about two years of this, it turned out to be advanced cancer.
