As a patient of many years I am now an adult and have seen her since middle school, she is one of the best psychiatrist I've met when it comes to feeling listened to, many times I feel they act superior in knowledge to you but this isn't the case. She's listened to me and helped me through monthly appointments at times! Excellent care and has helped me manage and understand what's going on with great care

I have been seeing Kristin for about 7 years. She is compassionate and really listens to her patients. I've recommended her to family and friends. She was sick for about a year which led to reschedules, but she is now (and was before) always very punctual. Don't expect long wait times.

Kristin is a caring individual, knowledgable and a good listener. I have seen her about 5 years, and not once had an appointment cancelation. If there is a medication change, she suggest it, explains the difference between my present one. Then the decision is mutual. I highly recommend her.

Kristen is both timely and takes time. Meaning that you won’t be waiting forever, but if you do have to wait it’s because someone is really needing more time. And I know she would do the same for me so I don’t care. She shows care, compassion, and dedication to her patients. But she’s also not afraid to tell you if she doesn’t think what you are wanting is the best thing for you. She explains things at whatever level you are comfortable with. She will talk through every medicine change with you and make sure you understand the thought process behind it. Best of all she believes “less is more” so she’s not going to just stick you on a bunch of unnecessary medications. I highly recommend her.

Kristin is amazing. I'm not sure why others are saying she consistently cancels appts. In the 5+years I've been seeing her, I've had one appt canceled due to illness. She's an amazing provider, and really cares for her patients. She goes above and beyond any other psychiatrist I've seen, and takes the time to understand you and diagnose your illness. She's never changed a medication without it being an mutual decision and always explains the differences in medications that might be changed to get better results. I have a feeling any negative reviews she received on here are from people that didn't get the diagnosis they were hoping for, as she is amazing at reading people and can shift through BS effortlessly. If you want quality care, go see Kristin. If you want to be coddled, call your mother.

I've been seeing Kristin Colton for 3 years now. She kept me from having a mental breakdown. She's caring and in 3 years I've never had one single appointment been cancelled. She listens, she's kind, always greets me with a smile, and she's warm. All the things I went in for on that "initial" appointment have been addressed. I no longer suffer from not sleeping. I still have a touch of anxiety but that's because I do research on drugs and choose not to be on the "newer" medications. All in all... I think she's fantastic and will continue to see her as long as I am seeing a benefit to my mental health.

I love Kristin. She truly has nderstsnds where her patients are coming from. I had a different person when I started there, but I am so glad I changed. #1, the best, love!

Amazing. She’s so helpful, truly cares, and takes time to listen. Not sure what these people are talking about. Must all be from the stalker she had.

Abysmal. Kristin is an embarrassment to the practice of medicine and I feel bad for her other patients. She is denigrating, ignorant, incompetent, and extremely inconsistent. I feel that all other providers have had to step up for her patients because of her lack of being present and her inability to provide consistent care. I'm honestly surprised she keeps her position. Would not recommend her, but still there are other providers at Stanbro who are most likely capable of doing a great job.

Be prepared for your appointments to be canceled with less than 3 hours notice, particularly if your provider is Kristin Colton, as she is apparently perpetually ill and can hardly ever make it to work. At the time of writing this review, I am almost two months overdue on my appointment with Kristin because she has canceled on me twice; this has forced me to choose a new provider.

At one time she was caring. Now she is cold, abrupt, doesn’t answer questions. Changes medications without explaining why. She is constantly out sick. Never responds to messages about medications. Treats people like they are beneath her.

She believes that she knows best and doesn’t listen to the patient. She constantly changes medication without explanation. Completely disregarded serious side effects. No compassion or care.

Constantly cancels appointments. Types the entire time without looking at you. Won’t hear your concerns or fully answer questions. Waste of time. She picks the medicine even if you had a side effect before and doesn’t explain it.
