Her physical therapy was fine, however, she came to work sick with a very bad cough, when asked she said not contagious, I'm never sick. 5 days later, I came down with a very congestive cough like she was coughing, 4 days later I gave it to my mother who has COPD. she passed away a week later from the virus she gave me. I have to live with that, I could've left, it was my choice to stay. But that left an impression on me, and told me much about her care.. WORKING WITH ELDERS, , WHY WOULD YOU GO TO WORK WITH A VERY BAD CONGESTIVE COUGH. I would never as a health care professional, subject my patients to that.
