Dr. Kristine Dabu, AUD

I seldom write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to do so. I was very frustrated after my second visit (picking a hearing aid). Dr. Dabu is opinionated, condescending, rigid in her assessments and recommendations, and is not actively listening. Her recommendations are boilerplate, and I am curious about her level of expertise and current knowledge regarding the advantages and disadvantages of specific hearing aids. As I lost trust in her expertise and ability to provide individualized solutions for her patients, I decided to cancel my follow-up meeting with her and seek advice elsewhere.

I have seen Kristine Dabu on 3 appts since my previous audiologist was booked up (now I realize she has more availabilities because she's a terrible practioner!). Like others have already mentioned (wish I read these reviews first), her bedside manners are horrible and she really doesn't seem to like her job, people, listening, or engaging with others (she talks like she's frustrated). Her tone of voice and demeanor are totally off-putting. It's like she's always in a bad mood and she comes off scary (and this coming from an adult in their 40's). She doesn't take the time to explain things and if you ask, she makes you feel as if you're bothering her. Not thorough at all. Definitely could use a lot of training and coaching on how to deal with patients - otherwise, she should just get out of the medical profession since she's not a good fit!

Consistent with other reviews, Dr. Dabu rushed the appointment. Had no interest in answering questions and was generally very disinterested in the care they were providing. Would definitely not recommend

Terrible experience with this doctor, Super uncaring for the patient or the process. Just wants to get over the appointment as fast as possible. Why have a job that deals with people if you don't like people!!!

Disappointing visit. She rushed through the test and was playing the next tone before I had a chance to finish responding to the tone she had just played. She pushed for me to get hearing aids now while I was still on my current insurance even though it was borderline whether or not I really needed them just yet. I plan to find another doctor.

I took my son for a hearing test and Dr. Kristine Dabu was very friendly to us. The test was done thorougly and everything was explained in ways that was easy to understand. Great experience. Thank you.

Horrible experience with our 2 month old. Kristine Dabu continued to conduct our child's hearing test even with faulty equipment (got disconnected over 10+ times) and proceeded to give us a diagnosis... two days later she messaged us saying we should do another test elsewhere. Very cold, uncaring bedside matter. You really have to probe for answers. Never met a doctor who was so unwilling to help. Was a traumatic start to our child's hearing journey.

The most cold, unfriendly, uncaring, borderline rude doctor we have encountered. The fact that she specialized in pediatric is beyond ironic.
