A Truly Exceptional and Compassionate Provider
If there is any force in the universe guiding us to the right people, I am profoundly grateful that it led me to Latifah Dosunmu Oparison, APN. Finding a healthcare provider who truly listens, understands, and cares is rare, but from my very first appointment with her, I knew I had found someone exceptional.Latifah Dosunmu Oparison is not only highly knowledgeable in her field but also one of the most compassionate and attentive medical professionals I have ever encountered. She took the time to understand every aspect of my medical history, carefully reviewing my records and asking insightful questions that made me feel truly heard. Her thoughtful and thorough approach made all the difference in my care.Unlike many providers who may rush through visits, she is incredibly patient and dedicated, ensuring that I felt comfortable and confident in my treatment plan. She doesn’t just see a condition—she sees the person behind it, and that level of empathy is something that sets her apar

Her negligence almost killed me. She refuses to take accountability for anything that she does wrong and now I will probably have lifelong health issues because she does not know how to do her job. Steer VERY clear. I’ve heard terrible things about her but wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, and it nearly costed me my life.

The best
Telehealth
I have been working with Latifah for a little over a year and a half now and can honestly say she is one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever interacted with. She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, empathetic, and generous with her time. The modern healthcare system can often feel dehumanizing, but Latifah makes me feel seen and heard. And the therapists that work with her are amazing as well. My life is better with Latifah and Jessica in my corner. These negative reviews are honestly hard to believe. I have to assume that many are just doctor shopping or unwilling to build a rapport. Mental health is a two way street. Patients need to put in the work, be honest, and vulnerable to get the most out of their treatment. Latifah has always made me feel safe and comfortable enough to share anything, so I feel like I am getting the highest level of care possible. I wish I could give more stars.

Wish I could say better
When I began to see Latifah it wasn't bad at all. Towards the end though I'd finish my appointments with her feeling worse than I did going in... she became very judgmental and would back track what she said in previous appts. It came to the point where I had to leave because it no longer felt like we were a "team" in my treatment, it was essentially her way or no way.

To be blunt I found Latifah to be rude, ignorant, and uninterested in actually listening to me as a patient. At the very 1st visit she decided I should be on antidepressants, without any evaluation, even after I expressed I was not interested in taking drugs, but rather wanted therapy. She also decided I had an issue with eating because I am underweight, even after explaining recent stomach surgery was the reason for my weight loss. I sensed she did not want me to ask questions or have opinions regarding my own care. I felt she would prefer I just say "yes" to whatever she said rather than be my own advocate and take part in my care. If you don't fit into her "box", or you are unwilling to simply be handed a prescription without any evaluation, I would say she is not for you. Latifah, in my opinion, is a perfect example of a degree does not equal basic intelligence or common sense. Visiting Vioral Health was a huge waste of my time and energy.

I loved Latifah, she was very compassionate, understanding and easy to talk to. Samantha was very helpful in getting me my appointment. The office was very comfortable. I look forward to getting thru the hardest time with the help of the Dr and therapist. You will not be disappointed!

I am surprised by all the positive reviews and was hopeful only to be disappointed. She was not a good listener. She prescribed a medication and was told to give it 3-4 weeks to work then pushed another medication a week later because it wasnt working fast enough. My daughter had a bad reaction and now we are searching elsewhere.

Latifah is an excellent psychiatrist. I have been to quite a few before her. She is kind and extremely knowledgeable in her field. She is also easily accessible through email, and her appointments are not months out. You can get in pretty quickly as opposed to other psychs.

Latifah always listens to my concerns and spends sufficient time with me during appointments. She is very careful in prescribing medications and does not give you medications that may be habit forming. I would highly recommend her if you need a mental health professional.

I've been a mental health consumer dealing with struggles since childhood. Of all the practitioners I've encountered, Latifah exemplifies the best balance of knowledge, compassion, and availability. This is my first experience with a mental health practitioner I consider an active partner in my recovery.

Latifah takes the time to listen to your needs and concerns. She has shown countless times that she is listening to understand you, and not to just respond. She explains everything in terms you as a patient can understand, and after meeting with her, I feel like all my questions and concerns have been carefully explained to me. Highly recommend!!
