Please avoid this practitioner and the cox bariatric clinic at all costs. I went in to ask that fluid be removed from my lap band so I could have a baby, and Ms. Compton told me lap bands were dangerous and that I needed to have mine removed, then immediately tried to sell me another surgery, which I discussed with the financial advisor and was not covered. I made it clear I couldn't afford it, and went forward with removing my lap band because I was scared into it.I've learned later that surgery is still widely performed and I was scared into removing it at a steep cost. I also went back and saw that she put into my appointment notes that I went there for a surgery consult, which was completely false. The hospital did nothing, and lawyers don't like to take informed consent cases.Apparently money is more important than patient care.

N.P. Compton is caring, thoughtful and understanding to her patients. She took the time to explain options and benefits of these procedures .
