Dr. Laurel Kramer, PHD

Dr Kramer has been a rock for me during every low moment I've had to face in the past decade. She is very comfortable to talk to and is able to work with me to handle life's routine and also unexpected challenges.

Helped me so much when I needed it. Went absolutely above and beyond.

I've seen Dr. Kramer for many years now and she has become an integral part of improving my overall wellness. She has seen me at my worst and my best and has never judged me or made me feel like I was wrong for thinking or feeling something. Instead, she is extremely validating and compassionate. She has helped me through anxiety, depression, childhood trauma and over all stress and life situations. I have grown exponentially as a human as a result of seeing Dr. Kramer and I am so grateful to have her in my life.

I have saw Dr. Kramer a few years ago learning to speak up for myself with my adult children. I recently returned to see her again because I am now fully retiring form the working world and this is a big adjustment. She is knowledgeable, direct with her comments, listens well, and offers good ideas I can use for myself and dealing with others. She does not just listen and say, "Hmmm mmm" but converses with me so I know she is understanding me. I have recommended others to see her and the ones who went have said similar things. She was voted #1 therapist in our area in 2020 in a local poll. Much deserved recognition. She is known as lifeline for many and gets to the root of the problem quickly. If you are interested in changing your life to be a healthier person, go see her, because "we either make ourselves miserable or make ourselves stronger, the amount of work is the same".

Instead of a safe place with empathy and compassion, my experience was that my problems didn’t matter at all. It didn’t help that the appointment was at 4pm on Friday, with the office closing at 5pm. I would not recommend Laurel Kramer to my dog. I felt like I was in an FBI interrogation room versus actually having my problems HEARD. Everything I said, was countered with a matter of fact reply. If you want someone who will judge you and tell you you’re not a human being, but a co-pay, go see Laurel Kramer. The words “I’ve been doing this for 35 years, longer than you’ve been alive” tell the story. I’ve never left a counseling session feeling like I went backward, and with no plan, until I’d met with Laurel Kramer. I can’t even say “doctor” Kramer because if she’s a doctor, I’m an astronaut. Thank you Laurel. It was nice to hear you say not all counselor’s are good ones, and that definitely applies to yourself. I expected more. What a shame - humility, respect and decency were not had.
