Really the best medical experience
I have been seeing Laurie for over 20years. She is smart, informative and able to communicate on both a practical and scientific level. I can not imagine a more empathetic, knowledgeable practitioner.

Treated like a drug seeker, weird expensive meds
I went to see her for IC and endo after going through several doctors, I kept getting sicker or having issues and coming in. After three appointments, it was obvious she didn't believe me that I was in pain and treated me like I was a drug seeker. I asked for help with medication management (I wanted to raise the dose of one medication so that I could go off another) and she said she didn't want to get involved with my medication management. She's also prescribed me some weird expensive drugs that no one seems to have heard of and insurance wouldn't cover. One rang up for 600 dollars for a yeast infection pill. I will not be seeing her again. Just because I have a complicated medical case doesn't mean that I don't deserve treatment or my pain isn't real. I was very clear that I wanted to treat my pain without opiates from the start, but she still treated me like I was just looking for a fix.

I have been a patient at WISH since 2016. Yesterday I had an appointment with Laurie for an exam. I waited for an HOUR and never saw her. I heard Laurie chit chatting with a pharmaceutical rep in the hallway and then with a patient in the next room. No one came in to give me an explanation for why I was waiting so long. I left!

Should be charging for MY time! – Jan 28, 2020

I would much rather leave no stars. I saw Laurie for a rare skin disorder that she diagnosed me for via biopsy. I asked her directly if (the name of the condition) is what she was diagnosing me with and she confirmed. Fast forward to the follow up appointment and she went back on the diagnosis because she “didn’t want to diagnose me with it. No one wants to have this condition”. So not only is she going back on her medical diagnosis, my SERIOUS condition is not being treated. Diagnosedpreviously
