Great therapist
Dr. Kapel was really great for the time being that I had him -- he's genuinely helped me with self-esteem issues and managing anxiety. He is a CBT therapist and he makes it clear that you must put the work in yourself to make it work + he may not be a great fit for everyone. He's very nice and regarding CBT I suggest researching it a bit to see if it appears helpful for your particular issue -- it helped greatly for some issues but less so for some others.

I went to Dr. Kapel in the past, It only took 2-3 visits to straighten me out... That lasted 1&1/2 yrs. It’s time for a reboot. I like the point blank direction that he gives you to think about. Thanks! The staff is fine too.

I was indeed Dr.Lawrence’s care for many years and if l am where l am today an great place! A lot has to do with the great non-biased, and professional advice Dr. Lawrence gave me way back so much so that l tried to keep him as my counselor when l moved to another state. Unfortunately wasn’t possible due to legalities/jurisdictions etc. I felt compelled to write this review given the previous stated facts! Because the reviews are not objective and the (-) ones are about the staff and not the Dr

I have Dr. Kapel's patient for 10 years. He is an outstanding professional. The Staff at GV Psch. does an outstanding job. I would recommend his counsel unconditionally.

Called to make an appt for my spouse- given his work schedule he canny call during business hours. I was told the dr required that the appt must be made by my patient directly. When asked why, was told that is what the dr requires. No thanks- if you have an unreasonable appointment policy can’t imagine your approach to care.

Dr. Kapel himself is pretty good, but his office staff and billing are the absolute worse. If you would like your money and insurance to be handled properly, do not go here. Oh, and never cancel you will be broke.
