Dr. Shapiro is pretty good. One one hand, I find him (whether he means to or not) to have a bit of a judgmental vibe -- I often feel like an idiot when talking to him. He's not the warmest psychologist I've ever met, but then again he's not the coldest either.
On the other hand, I have always found his advice to be pretty good. While I often felt like I was treading water with other psychologists, Dr. Shapiro's advice has usually worked pretty well for me in overcoming various anxiety issues. I guess you could see the judgmental vibe being a bonus here, since I tend to feel like an idiot when I come in and haven't followed his instructions.

Dr. Shapiro was the worst therapist I've ever encountered. He gave me tasks to do and although I did them, he only reminded of my challenges and things I was missing instead of focusing on my improvement and effort. He's message to me was always negative and he said that my situation would never improve. I'm glad I'm not depressive and that I didn't believe him, because that would have made my situations worse. This person shouldn't even be practicing as therapist.
