Lindsay Hoffman, PA-C

After weeks of pain & fatigue, I saw Ms. Hoffman. I recapped my hx: recurrent infections of EBV (confirmed by ab bloodwork) accompanied by transient axillary and preauricular lymphadenopathy, shingles, etc. bc I felt it was time to investigate autoimmune causes. I tried to describe symptoms from my first rodeo with mono, which heavily overlapped with those of aseptic meningitis. As soon as I said this, Ms. Hoffman sighed and (wrongly) said I'd be dead if I had meningitis (that would be true if it were bacterial, fungal or parasitic, but viral meningitis is usually self-limited.) She told me to get off of Facebook, a wild assumption as I haven't used social media in years, but she begrudgingly wrote an order for an ANA panel. It came back positive, shocker! I requested an MD after being treated like a hypochondriac. MD agreed Hoffman should review meningitis etiologies and wrote a rheum referral but I worry Hoffman will dismiss more pts who are actually sick due to her hubris.

Great provider. She is very attentive to her patients.

Lindsey has been the best doctor, when I moved to NC from WI, I was really stressed to find a new doctor after seeing my doctor for 15+ years, Lindsey has been amazing, very knowledgeable, she will tell you as it is, will not sugar coat it or make you feel bad. I'm really going to miss her.

Ive been seeing Lindsey for almost a year and a half and could not be happier that I chose this office/her as my doctor/pa. I am so sad that she is leaving this particular office. Ive had chronic pain since i was almost 30(not 37) due to playing sports at an elite level for a lot of years. After moving here to Raleigh from San Diego, I was so stressed at the thought of finding and starting a new relationship with a doctor. When you have to come in every 3 months for an appointment, you want to like your doctor! She is down to earth, empathetic, knowledgeable, takes as much time as you need and NEVER makes you feel rushed, she’s funny, and most of all she is progressive with her treatment. She’s the first doctor to recommend a medication for anxiety/ocd which was adding to my pain for sure. I always felt like i could be open and honest with her and have zero judgement. She’s fantastic at what she does and I’d highly recommend her.

I will keep it short; this is the first time I have actually felt like my doctor CARED. Unfortunately, I have a number of health problem, and she is the only doctor I have seen out of like 6-7 that was visibly sympathetic and the only one who has really helped. I don't think that's coincidence... I HIGHLY recommend her.
