the best in the business
Dr. Townsend is very knowledgeable in her specialties. She is very self confident, and might appear private and aloof - but that is fine with me! I want someone who knows what they are doing. She also helped a friend of mine, and I am thankful for her wisdom and expertise. Colorado Springs is lucky to have her.

I went to Ms. Townsend regarding a head to head injury (similar to a sports injury). The office staff was nearly unreachable, would not answer phone calls even when I was standing in their lobby. I suffer from neurological and cognitive problems, and I was not treated with any kind of respect for my condition. The testing was a joke, even from the first words out of her mouth. She had no clue about head injuries or concussion, though she quotes CDC guidelines and has printed material indicating concussions are strictly temporary impairments, in order to support her claim I had to find articles from the UK. Nothing in American medicine supports this ideology. If you have suffered any kind of head trauma, don't bother with this "doctor." Caution to parents; find someone who knows about head trauma, don't trust your child to someone so reckless.

Dr. Townsend is an amazing health professional! We took our daughter to Dr. Townsend to get ADHD testing because she's been struggling in school. A few weeks later we had much more help and my daughter has been doing better since our appointment.

Took my father up to see Dr. Townsend for his dementia. The wait time is short, the staff was friendly and helped us park and I couldn't have asked for a better visit. My father is now on medication to slow the progression thanks to Dr. Townsend

I sent my son to see Dr. Townsend based on a referral from a friend. She is an amazing doctor! Very professional and knowledgeable. My son loves her. Her report was exactly what I needed to get the medications and help at school. She diagnosed him with ADHD and is now medicated. Thanks to her my son is doing so much better. I not only refer her to anyone but refer her to everyone that might need help with ADHD. She's wonderful.

Dr. Townsend was referred to me by my neurologist after a major car accident left me with a concussion/TBI. The evaluation she performed was exactly what I needed and her treatment was fantastic. Her skills helped me get back my memory and helped me get back to work. She reassured me that I would begin to feel better and was available to me with any questions I had. Her staff was also very helpful and friendly. Excellent doctor and highly recommend her. She is very knowledgeable in other areas such as Alzheimer's dementia and Parkinson's disease. Interesting side note is she has received a few awards and she has started working with athletes. Very interesting doctor!

Total joke from scheduling the appointment to the actual visit to the "follow-up". It took a month to get seen and I don't understand what value the visit even served. She didn't take the time to evaluate me and then has me come back for a follow up and charges $2800? My PCP still hasn't received my results from her "evaluation," nor have I received my results in the mail. Joke. Total joke.

How can she accurately diagnose someone when she doesn’t take the time to thoroughly assess someone? Appointment scheduling and insurance approval is a lengthy process and they don’t meet their own timeframes.

I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Townsend or my experience at her office! My son got into an accident and took a pretty big hit to the head. Dr. Townsend was swift to help with the concussion recovery process and even called to follow up to make sure he was ok. We had a million questions and she had an answer to each and every one. I would recommend Dr. Townsend to family and friends!

A doctor (which I no longer use) sent me to this place for ADD testing when I went in for sleep deprivation and loss of concentration. I was basically given an hour memory test (remembering pictures) and a bubble sheet to fill out. I wasn’t even with anyone for about half the time I spent there. During the follow up appointment I was told I could not be helped, she thought I was on drugs, and she suggested coming back after a year had passed. Now, over a year and a half later I receive a bill for nearly $700. For what? Filling out a bubble sheet and being told I can’t be helped.

Very professional. Explained what and why she was going to do specific testing in a manner, I could understand. I saw her in 2018 and have an appointment to see her in May 2019. I appreciate that she is doing a follow-up! She certainly deserves an Excellent rating.
