Lois Ostrow, LCSW

I saw Lois for marital counseling. I described to her repeatedly that I was having terrible trouble with anxiety and socializing/keeping up with conversations. I was staying home all the time. Now I know I have MCI but at the time Lois just thought I was being spoiled or difficult. She met with my husband without me and they made plans to confront me. My whole life blew up because she didn’t believe or help me. She just got impatient, asking me if I thought she wanted to be doing this in five years. I was sobbing and sick. She told my husband to put me in a safe place so he could divorce me, which he did, but he gives me no money. I’m 62 years old and I’ve spent down my inheritance and have nothing now. I don’t want to be a burden to my older siblings so it’s bad. Do not trust Lois. She acts as if she cares, but she really doesn’t. She is cruel, deep down.

I’d not seen Lois for several years but returned to see her because of a recent change. It was jarring, to say the least, as she’d had major plastic surgery. I found it so distracting, even disturbing, so I didn’t go back.
