I did not see her but I had seen a different therapist through her practice. The therapist was great, but Lois handled the billing, i was told by Lois that my insurance covered my sessions, i attended about 8 sessions only needing to pay a copay each time, until I received a bill in the mail from her office for over $1000. I thought it was a mistake but it wasn’t, it turned out my insurance did not cover sessions at her specific practice. I was told by Lois herself to please pay it so she doesn’t have a bad rep with her billing or something like that. I did pay it but it was a very traumatic experience for me as a vulnerable client. It could have been avoided if things were done correctly. Hopefully this has not happened again.
