My experience with this provider was disappointing. Within the first minute, the tone was unexpectedly harsh and dismissive. Rather than starting with curiosity or support, I was met with judgment about my time in the program and was told my care would be limited. She explained that the provider model had changed to short-term, goal-oriented therapy, which is not her fault, but the way it was framed was condescending and frustrated, as though I hadn’t taken therapy seriously before. There was no effort to explore how the new approach might work for me, just a blunt suggestion to seek care elsewhere if I didn’t like it. When I became visibly upset, she acknowledged it in a robotic way, without empathy. The entire interaction felt more like being scolded than being supported. For someone in a clinical role, the lack of compassion and professionalism was really disheartening. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect when seeking help. That was not my experience here.
