Lori Mauldin, PA-C

Dr Maudlin has seen me about 5 times over 3 years, for and after minor basil cell surgery 18 months ago. She walks in, looks at some spots, explains nothing, takes what I can only guess is a freezing ‘torch’ & grabs my arms, shooting spots. She has never, not in a single visit, ever told me: what that device is or what it does; what she’s looking at & for what reasons she’s shooting; or how I have to follow up with those freeze-shooting spots. It is though we all know why I am there & what she is doing, only she has never offered any information, advice, care of any kind. I have no idea what she is doing or why, & there is no explanation. A twice-a-year examination of a few spots that I want to make sure do not become cancerous takes less than 5 mins with no sharing of information in anyway other than a declaration of what a spot is only if I ask & then without explaining what the word is. It almost feels like she dislikes her work & wished she was anywhere other than with me.

Admitted ignorance only on 2nd visit after first visit resulted in incorrect prescription and diagnosis being logged on my chart. (I came in knowing my condition, but was dismissed because 'insurance.') After discussion with Lori and staff resulted in her admitting she had never treated my condition nor ever seen a case, she did not consult the Dr. on staff who is her supervisor. In fact, I thought she WAS the doctor after having to talk to two nurses before she would come in the room and deign to ok the wrong rX. Even after 2 bad visits, there was no follow-up from Lori or her team with any effort to educate themselves.

Lazy treatment. My son has now seen her for the third time for a skin condition on his face. She has prescribed three types of treatments that included, topical creams, steroids, and antibiotics without running any tests or providing a diagnosis. She did not give instructions on how to use any of the medicine. Nothing has helped and it’s spreading and getting worse. In his third visit he asked for a test, she said if it doesn’t get better in 10 days come back and then they would test. Each time she prescribes a medicine she says “try this and if it doesn’t work come back.” I guess that’s one way to ensure repeat business. Stay away!

Lori seemed to genuinely care about us when my family visited her. We ended up having to follow up with another location due to a complication and she personally called another doctor to ensure we were taken care of at the practice. The location then also ensured to follow up with us to ensure we were all taken care of.

Indifferent, misdiagnosed a condition, failed to bandage a biopsy.

She was rude, didnt even look at the problem with my skin, did not want to answer questions or hear what i had to say about what was going on. The only thing she said was your prescription is at the pharmacy did not tell me what the problem was. When i asked her to look at my arm she immediately rolled her eyes and said we will just biopsy it then And walked out, came back to the room did the biopsy and walked out again without telling me how to care for it or what the next steps are for my skin situation. The next time i make an appt at this practice, i will make sure it's a different physician.

My poor daughter has struggled for most of her life with terrible eczema and allergies. We have been to allergists and pediatricians, tried allergy shots. Everything we could think of we have tried! I finally decided to go to Lori Mauldin. She listened to all of my concerns and addressed my daughter making her feel special. Not only is she caring and a great listener, she knows what is best! Three previous specialists couldn’t get it right but she did!! It has been 1 week and my child has her confidence back and her skin has completely cleared! I am amazed! She has suffered for 7.5 years! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

I have seen her multiple times for an infection that still hasn’t cleared despite going through over a year of treatment. She barely looks at the issue and doesn’t spend any time at all explaining how to use a medication. She prescribed a different medication without even looking at my current medications or asking if they had changed. She’s not friendly and I will not be going back to her.

She didn't even touch the area. Just said it looked like something or other and gave me antibiotics. Even though I told her I was already on them and had listed them on my medicine sheet. She was just not interested in helping me at all. I will have to find help elsewhere.
