I would not recommend her practice. Lack of bedside manner, dismissive and cares about “hospital policy” so much that she’s willing to put the patient/baby at risk when there is not a risk. Please do not go here. Find somewhere that honors you and your unborn baby.

She is quick to dismiss concerns. She pushes birth control and IUD. If I hadn't pushed for tests, they wouldn't have found my issue. However, she was quick to dismiss my concerns when I have a family history and history of cancer. She should have referred me to a real doctor for this bc my issues are above her midwife abilities.

I’m 13wks pregnant with my first child, a daughter, and I have to say that I’m beyond disappointed with Lori’s care. My last appt was at 10w3d, which was supposed to be my extensive prenatal visit (slotted for 30min) to discuss birth ideology and how I envisioned my care for delivery. I also fully anticipated hearing baby’s heartbeat based on my mother’s expertise (she is also a CNM) and other mom friends. Instead, I felt rushed, was given orders for labs, and told I would NOT be hearing the heartbeat FOR ANOTHER MONTH. I didn’t know how to advocate for myself to ensure my concerns were heard - this being my FIRST pregnancy, after all. I left my appt in tears, and my mother was horrified at my treatment. If you are looking for a personable midwife to bond with for the care you’ll need leading up to your child’s birth, look elsewhere. I’ll be transferring my care as soon as the other midwives join in Jan.
