I wanted to find this therapist as a good therapist. She is sweet as a person. However, she has no clinical skills. I felt like the sessions were mainly a Q and A session. She would ask questions, and I would answer. There was rarely any depth to the work we would do. I guess I thought, well, this is what you get for using your insurance. After much prodding from my friends, they encouraged me to try another therapist; I have to say, what a difference. The new therapist gave me homework, taught me some in-depth skills, uncovered trauma, helped me restructure my thoughts, and generally healed my anxiety. If you want a nice person to tell your story, Lory is good for just talking. If you want to make lasting changes and do some deep work, find another therapist. Don't settle for this is what you get when you use insurance. Find a great clinician that also take insurance. Maybe you need to try a few different therapists to find the right match. I am sad I wasted 6 months with Lory.
