I really liked Dr. Mayes. I have been going to this office for almost 7 years. After seeing the doctor and being seated to choose my glasses, I was told that they no longer take my husband's insurance. I had to pay out of pocket for my exam which I have never had to do. I didn't even think to check beforehand because they have taken it for years. I had to take half a day off work to go to their office thinking they were the only ones around that took the insurance. The office is 45 minutes from my house. I would have just gone to a doctor closer to my home and not taken time off work. The time to tell me you don't take my insurance anymore is when the appointment was made, not after I've seen the doctor.

Dr Ware has been providing eye care to me, my husband and both my kids for 25 years and he has always been courteous and professional. His staff is friendly and very helpful--especially when trying to choose my frames! I feel that I always receive prompt and accurate service. I would definitely recommend Dr Ware and his staff to anyone looking for an eye doctor to trust their eyes to.

Dr. Ware and his staff are excellent. Dr. Ware is the best in town. He listens to me and addresses my needs. He keeps up to date on new technology and products. I don't feel rushed in and out like in other offices I've visited. The optical helps me pick the best frames and the selection and quality is top notch!

Would not recommend thins office to anyone. Nothing but false information and deception from the start. They will tell you anything to get you in the door then nickle and dime you for things you don’t even need. I was told xyz was covered under my insurance, when I later found out it wasn’t the employee told me it wasn’t my own fault for not knowing my insurance policy better. You should be able to trust the professionals you’re paying....not at this office!!

Been going to Dr. Ware for years. However, last appointment he was rude and degrading. I walked out without exam. I LOVE the girls that work there but I CANNOT and will not support Dr. Ware. I actually waited several months to see if he would call as some sort of follow up, knowing that I was not appreciative of his lack of communication skills when I walked out - evidently he could care less about his patients. Sad. Very unprofessional doctor. Perhaps he had a bad day, but a call would fix!

Frustrated Patient in Bowling Green, KY – Dec 12, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Ware?
Beware of Dr. Ware. He appears Nice and competent. His motivation , in my experience .is Solely monetary, not the best interest of a patient. If you ask questions about exam he became irritable. He is arrogant , unprofessional when speaking to me and he doesn't tell the full story when trying to force a patient to do Optomap procedure.. Beware of Dr. Ware!

I love Dr. Ware, but his staff is unprofessional and doesn't care about patients at all. I've had several issues over the years but today when a girl told me if I couldn't wait 2 weeks for an appointment to find another doctor, and refused to even ask if I could get a trial pair of contacts til the appointment if it took it, to get another doctor; I did. I refuse to deal with his staff anymore. When I made a review on his Facebook page today he tried to have me banned from FB.
