There something wrong with a low-fi audiology test
This was a visit with Dr. Madison Braun at the KU Med West location, 7405 Renner Rd, Shawnee, KS. I showed up early, and was rushed into my appointment well before I could complete my paperwork. The test used antiquated low-fi equipment that 'rustled' loudly in my ear whenever I moved my jaw or breathed deeply, preventing me from hearing the faint sounds I was supposed to accurately signal that I had heard. The effect was to over-exaggerate my hearing loss. Later that day I took various online hearing tests at home using HI FI HD headphones in a quiet environment and found that I only suffered: "Mild hearing loss" not substantial hearing loss. The whole visit was rushed, as was the whole procedure. When you can't even see the brand-names of the equipment being used, chances are its antiquated. I'm a computer/techno nerd and I know old tech when I see it. And my point about it's being lo-fi is on point as well.
