This therapist was long on professional protocol, but short on insight and compassion. I feel that much attention was given to therapeutic formalities and other auxiliary matters, with little actual investment in counseling itself. This minimalist approach was magnified recently by her indifference regarding abuse I suffered at the hands of a Catholic priest. There was not even an "I'm sorry." Unacceptable. My experience with Maggie solidifies my belief that the mental health system is broken. I believe this transcends any notion of compatibility.
