He is focused on emotional, mental health to the exclusion of anything physical. He seems genuinely unhappy with an upbeat, positive patient. He speaks of his own insecurities etc and makes comparisons to the patient. He is unwilling to listen to actual issues dealing with the patients medical issues while insisting on an endless desire to bring up the past in his attempt to degrade the patient. He is a very negative professional .

One of several issues: As a patient, expressing concerns about a medical issue or treatment, may be interpreted by him as stress, rather than seeking a solution. I have had concerns dismissed multiple times, only to have them become reality. Even then, there was no acknowledgment of the facts I expressed from a specialist, and was considered stressed. I wanted to present issues, and hopefully make a plan for action. If you try to communicating well, but find yourself going around in circles, the other person is not making an effort to truly listen and hear what your saying. in the medical profession, that can be harmful.
