Dr. Makkeda Rubin-Deloney, DPT

I had a cervical posterior decompression fusion with foraminotomy to fix the previous anterior cervical discectomy. More than two months after surgery, I experienced upper back pain and exhaustion each time I walk around and do light activities. I had no strength to pick up and move a bag of grocery from cashier’s desk to my cart. I avoided driving because the range of my neck turn was limited. I contacted Dr. Makkeda. I was very skeptical to do physical therapy virtually, but I was willing to try because I was desperate. I am impressed because upper back fatigue and heaviness are gone after our first session. I like her methods. She showed me how I can reduce my pain, using my own body movements, no use of equipment. She even helped with my lower back pain. I gained my strength back. I could not remember when last time I feel this normal. I do not have pain anymore. I can carry a case of water without pain. I can jump rope every day. Thank you Dr. Makkeda.

I was in so much pain ALL OF THE TIME, I wasn't able to function. I was not able to sand, sit, or lay in one place for very long. Dr.Makkeda I have had tremendous results. I am in such awe! I have moved from extreme pain to I a place that I can manage to "do life" again. I have more strength in my back, that was nonexistent before treatment; my flexibility has increased, I have mobility and more endurance for the exercises that are necessary to get me back to 100%.Dr.Makkeda has been very patient, understanding, and gentle. She has guided me and put me at ease during both virtual and in person sessions while she informs me on what to, expect during the treatment, what will be addressed in subsequent visits and what to anticipate during the healing process. She explains ways for me to recognize what is working and what is not working for me to reach maximum potential. Amazing care ans knowledge. I have MS and came to her in wheel chair. I have lost nearly 30 lbs. ana am using a walker to walk part of my day.
