I have been dealing with a lot of different physicians and physician Asst. (PA) for a number of years. There are a few that I can say are outstanding in their care and Mara Smith is at the top of my list. She listens, cares about you and can give you the advice that you need when you ask her. If anyone is looking for a Dr. or PA, expecially in the infectious disease area, I would recommend Mara and her boss Dr. David Itkin they are the best. (I don't text.)

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Mara Smith and Appledore Infectious Disease. Everyone I encountered was polite and professional. They had a cancellation and got me in to see Mara right away. Upon my arrival I was seen immediately for BP, weight, etc. Virtually no wait. After speaking with Mara for a few minutes I realized she had taken the time to familiarize herself with my medical history, mentioning details from 20 years ago. I'm in good hands and optimistic.
