I had symptoms of a bladder infection. I called Urology Austin and was told that I had to come in today or tomorrow. Neither Dr. Denson or Danielle was available at those times, so the receptionist insisted that I go to another office. I asked if I could just go to CPL to pee in a cup and they send the results. But, no, they insisted on me coming in. What happened? I peed in a cup and saw Marcia for about 15 minutes. She was very nice and explained that it would take 2-3 days to get results. I started calling Thursday, but didn’t find out until Friday that I did have an infection. OK, what are you going to do about it? It took several more calls before an antibiotic was finally called in. How much time could have been saved if I had been allowed to just go to CPL?!

Marcia is genuinely interested in you. She wants to know pertinent facts and backstory that might help in her treatment and recommendations. She establishes a relationship — not just cut and dry medical evaluation and procedures. She is usually enthusiastic and very informative. It the way medicine should be practiced and often is not.

Marcia is one of the most grounded healthcare professionals I have seen. I left with increased knowledge, a concrete plan and most of all, hope.

The Respect the way they make sure you always ok

Marcia asked direct questions and listened to me. We talked together about treatment options. Her follow ups were reasonable and direct but she showed lots of compassion regarding my problems. She or her staff always called me back in a timely manner and helped me in every way I needed. She was always kind and very helpful. I’m happy to have her take care of me.

Let me start by saying Marcia O’Brien is delightful and great to work with. I cannot say the same about her office team. It wasn’t until I arrived for my appointment that I found out that I’m no longer in net work and had to pay substantially over my expected copay. Not only was that the issue, but the number they quoted me was lower than what I actually owed. If I wasn’t concerned about affecting Marcia’s rating I’d give them a zero.

Marcia did an outstanding job. She is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner.
