If you are an older woman with c-PTSD whose core is very shaken from recently awakened early childhood trauma, I do not know if you can count on Dr. Rutherford to understand and respect this sensitive territory.

Asking my physician for a recommendation, they asked if I wanted to be coddled or if I want the truth. As much as I wanted to be coddled, I knew I needed the truth. What a great decision it was to schedule with Dr. Margaret. I'm encouraged at every session to be a better me. I've gained tools along the way in how to approach situations. I'm very happy with the progress I've made. Very comfortable surroundings and ease of speaking of topics I didn't want to confront. Highly recommend Dr. Margaret

Dr. Rutherford is simply the best. If you actually want help with making your life or relationship better she is the therapist for you. If you just want someone to listen to you complain and never take any steps in the right direction then find a friendly bartender. She will challenge you and your partner to see the reasons why we do the things we do and help you find a common ground and real solutions. She is kind, intuitive, empathetic, and brilliant.
