Marian Vance

My husband and I have been with Marian for a number of years and without her guidance, support and ability to help us both feel validated throughout many tough situations I don’t think my husband and I would still be together. She is committed and just wonderful. We are so grateful for what Marian has given, and continues to give to our relationship.

She is trusting, caring and well versed in understanding trauma. I can’t say enough good things about her patience and desire to truly help.

She is well versed in trauma and a great listener. I am unsure of others reviews, but my experience so far has been excellent. She has helped me parent my children through ongoing trauma, she has validated my experiences and has coached me in how to process previous abuse. She has even provided additional resources for me and my family to assist in ongoing issues.

Not much has changed since 2018. Wish I had read the reviews before agreeing to see her. Marian remains quite useless. Any one looking to strengthen relationships or build up confidence should steer clear. She brings her misogynistic and outdated views into your world and is an awful listener. She will without a doubt make a bad situation worse. Just awful. She absolutely should not be practicing.

Worst choice I could have made for assistance with my children's grief. Unprofessional. I really wish I had read the other warnings and reviews on this and other sites. Come to find out, she just got her license and it's from Gordon's School of Divinity. No qualifications in actual SCIENCE, just religion.

Clearly these reviews are written by someone disgruntled. I came on here to get her number to reengage her with some difficult dynamics as she was very very helpful to us in the past. Marion saw my family for a year. Specifically with very difficult dynamics and with respects to helping very difficult kids in reunification with one of their very difficult parents. I am in the medical field and was specifically in behavioral health for a decade. She is a very thoughtful, skilled therapist who I feel extremely comfortable recommending to others.

It is my belief that these negative reviews of Marian Vance do not represent the quality of her work as a therapist nor the integrity of her character. If you are seeking compassionate and honest counseling for your family, do not let these negative reviews keep you from directly evaluating for yourself if Marian is a good fit for your family. Family systems work is complicated and relies on the honesty of each individual in the room. I am grateful that my family has found a space to reconnect and begin to heal. Marian has been tactful and emotionally brave.

WARNING!!! This woman isn't going to help anyone. She's unprofessional, and ethically challenged. I seriously can't imagine how she even got her license. She was originally with NSMHC but I think they caught on to the fact that she's a disaster and fired her...

Completely and utterly useless!! Marion Vance should be removed from practice immediately before she does more damage to others!! She is a DANGEROUS fraud who cannot handle the real issues involved with this profession and caused a probable divorce outcome by making things WORSE through her strictly text book approach following work sheets and providing no experiential help whatsoever!!! Her grossly inadequate "therapy" has left our family in an immeasurably and most likely irrepairable state!!
