Dehumanizing, though pinnacle of old age therapy
Telehealth
While Marianne Adams might come across as someone who cares, they to me came off as extremely dismissive and naive, and I felt dehumanized. Not everyone fits neatly into a box of diagnosis or adheres strictly to textbook DSM-5 criteria. It is sad in 2025 that there still exists individuals who hold so closely to these archaic methods. Therapy should not be held back by liability clauses, nor should clients be so strictly adhered to protocols which are purely business in nature and only seek to secure profit. It's a private healthcare system people! Let's treat it as it is, you are a provider of a service, if your service is terrible, you should know about it. Don't let healthcare professionals fool you into thinking that they are better than or deserve more scrutiny or respect than a car rental company or roofing service.
