Disorganized
Telehealth
Needs to learn how to use virtual platform software. Disorganized. Hard to reach. No call no show. Punitive. Beware.

Sells snake oil. Major attitude. Acts put upon. Never asked or answered questions. Just patronizing condescending reprimanding. Lots of finger pointing and fault finding. But no strategies or skills shared. Won’t take insurance so you have to pay cash - and then she rips you off. Bait and switch keeps you waiting then no call no show.

unresponsive
Telehealth
Very very unresponsive. Says email is the best way to reach her but then does not reply. Finally responds to say she is out of the office for a week, which she had not mentioned previously. Not someone I would trust with anyone's mental health.

Highly recommend with lots of drama after divorce
Our children truly enjoyed her sessions, she taught them how to have boundaries and to stay out of the drama. She encouraged them to focus on being a kid. She did an excellent job of protecting the children from a very toxic coparent. The children have seen several other mental health professional over the past decade & she was the only one who could handle this degree of conflict.

Beware of Dr Alvarez she is horrible she puts vulnerable children in harms way. She recommends children to go to their documented abusers. She fabricates testimony and evidence. She recommends children to live with convicted domestic violence abusers despite convictions and evidence of abuse. She misquotes the parent, children and therapists. She is not Ethical. She ruins lives, destroys, damages and traumatizes children and victims of domestic abuse.

We used Dr. Alvarez for an evaluation of our family and an expert witness to adopt our daughters. She was amazing! I have never met anyone in my life that listened so well. My daughters loved her and still ask if they can go back and visit her.
