I've got a lot of problems that have landed me in physical therapy throughout my life, and I've worked with a lot. Dr. Acosta is easily the best I've encountered. I started with a couple of emergent precise muscle and nerve hitches caused by over-zealous workouts, plus a long-term spine injury that causes chronic pain. For the new hitches, she was able to hone in on the precise problem and showed me exact stretches I could do to fix them. One of them involved specifically extending my fingers during an arm motion, and I could instantly feel that it was working at the spot that was causing my problem. After a few weeks they were gone. For the spine injury, she worked with me to develop an every-day workout routine that helps my muscles compensate. I can sit and-or stand about twice as long as I could when I started.Top notch stuff. Turns out, if you do what the doctor says, sometimes things do get better.
