Years ago, I saw her and brought up a concern with my tonsils. During a bout of tonsilitis, I was choking on them in my sleep. Outside of the tonsilitis, they've caused issues for years. I expressed these concerns in my appointment, including the choking part, and she sort of scoffed and told me that they weren't even that big. She recommended omeprazole and I never came back.5 years later I just established with a new primary doctor who listened to my concerns and referred me to an ENT for further evaluation, as they are STILL giving me issues. If you aren't going to take your patient's concerns seriously and even make them feel bad for bringing them up, don't work in health care.
