Dr. Melissa Erickson, OD

Cold, detached, and uninterested. Just went thru the motions. I asked her what glasses prescription she gave me and she said I just put a copy of it on the chair over there, you can look at it later. She never asked what kind of prescription I wanted, ie; bifocals, progressives, single vision. We quickly moved on to the next thing. Some of the notes she put in my online chart were not true. Things she listed she did and/or discussed with me she never did. The question I asked, about what is next, she said the staff out front would explain it to me. She walked me up to the front and took off, never saying goodbye. I said thank you, she didn't respond. Never have I encountered such a doctor. I'm dreading our next encounter.

I was referred to her from one of the Glaucoma specialists at UCDavis. She gave me a glass prescription that did not improve my vision. On my follow up appnt she did not notice my contact lens and refracted me for a full glass prescription and later I had to tell her to redo it because I had contacts in. My vision was 20/100 after correction. My retina doctor told me repeat the refraction as I can be corrected to 20/50.So I contacted them for appnt soon as I was having trouble driving. But was g
