My psychiatrist left and I was assigned to Melissa. My psychiatrist said, “Stay on the same dose.” I was on a current dose of medication that was working for 2 years. The first thing she said to me was, “If you don’t like my treatment, you can go see someone else.” My meds were cut severely. She said, “break them in half.” This was way out of my normal dose range. I felt it as being extreme, but I trusted her. (She was recommended). I was then met with a manic episode which led me to overspend an exorbitant amount of money. She then said, “Can you take it back?” I said, “No, all sales are final.” Please do your homework and find someone who actually cares about your well-being. And less about “By-the-book.” Every person is different.

Melissa was a great fit for me. She helped me get motivated to make healthy lifestyle changes and not be reliant on meds alone. I appreciated her help with getting my life on the right track. Melissa coached me through my medications so that I could find the best combination for me. She was easy to talk to and I felt like she truly cared about what I had to say.

We visited Melissa in the fall of 2019 we were greeted by a smile that set use to ease. Melissa urged my daughter to keep taking her prescribed meds so it would help her on her road to recovery. Six months later i am pleased to report that she is doing so much better than she has been in the past few years.

I went to see Melissa Sorenson because I was having side effects on the anti depressant I’ve been on for over almost 10 yrs. First thing she said to me was “I’m not here to listen, I’m here for my med maintenance.” I should’ve walked out the door. She was hell bent on getting me on new meds and refused to put me on lower dose of my current. The day I forgot how to drive my car on her meds while on the road in heavy traffic, was the day I decided I would never go bk to her. I went to go see my primary care who listened and put me back on my original medication at the proper dose so I didn’t have to split the pills, which was causing the side effects. I’m now back on track and not on any weird mood stabilizer or bi polar med that she kept pushing for. Had I listened to someone doesn’t have to experience the life altering side effects I would be walking around spiritless and lobotomized, unable to perform daily asks or my profession. There was no money in keeping me on my old medicine.
