dr. askren told me that people with borderline personality disorder are inherently bad people when i was 13 years old. 5 years and several therapists later, i have been landed with that same diagnosis. that speaks volumes to me about her competence.

Dr. Askren is kind and understanding. I was not sure how open I could be in therapy, but I have had no problem speaking with her truthfully. I also am always confident that she will provide sound advice and look at everything from my point of view, not just as an outsider. She has really saved my butt a number of times and I look forward to speaking with her before each session!
