I hate therapy. I've gone a handful of times over 20ish years, had therapists that were ok but not helpful, that i didn't feel like really heard me, that were actively dismissive and awful. I hate talking about myself and ESPECIALLY about my struggles. In just a short time seeing Mike, he has given me more helpful input that I can actually utilize than my previous therapists combined. I always feel like he's listening and considering what I say, he's very good at explaining in why the brain does what it does in a way that makes sense, and very good at reframing things in a way that makes them clear. I feel like he's genuinely cheering my successes, however small. I don't normally write gushy reviews, but it's just so encouraging and appreciated after years of landing with therapists ranging from "meh" to "ugh."
