Dr. Michael Bywater, OD

This office will not answer phones - you will not be able to get any questions answered on top of other issues. Worst customer service I ever received from a doctor and that is saying a lot!

I have read some of the negative reviews in complete disbelief!!!! Dr Bywater has taken care of my entire family for years. He has always been there when we needed him the most. On three occasions I suffered complications and he took me in for care immediately. He stayed open during Covid and risked his safety to care for his patients. Underneath his quite demeanor is one of the most caring individuals that I have ever known. It is a shame that people only take the time to write a review when they are unhappy. It is just human nature. They do not reflect the feelings of the majority of the patients.

Always had a good experience with the doctor and the staff over the last few years.

Dr was abrupt and rude as was office staff

I had what started as a simple eye infection but didn't respond to the meds I'd been given—in fact, it got exponentially worse over the course of a week. Dr. Bywater was willing to see me on a Saturday at the last minute; he immediately realized I'd been given the wrong course of treatment entirely. He was kind, thorough, and saved me from potentially severe complications. He even called to check on me a couple days later. So grateful for his help!

The worst experience I have ever had with an eye dr I have ever had. Gave me the wrong rX and refused to re do the glasses citing incorrect insurance benefit knowledge and even after calling insurance to find out correct facts and making me wait outside in the rain for 45 minutes refused to re do glasses. Poor customer service and quality. Do not recommend at all! Yes

Excellent! Professional and personable. Takes the time to explain everything and even shows you what he is looking at.
