NoCo trans folx: steer clear of Dr. Michael Daine, PhD (who listed himself as specializing in trans services on Psychology Today). He doesn’t believe he needs training or even a basic understanding of trans vocabulary or concepts because his work is universal ?????? Context: I attempted to consult with him, he gave me paperwork that wasn’t inclusive and I gently and respectfully offered help with that and he responded by insulting my credentials, telling me I don’t understand the work. He didn’t even ask what wasn’t inclusive, didn’t care to. Then he told me I’m just projecting my “issue” on to “people who do good work.” When I put up a boundary, he escalated. Big red flags.
