Dr.Kirk changed my life. It was after my sister & I had been taken by cps & separated. I was about 4\5yrs old at that time, my sister had been placed in a foster home later on that required therapy & he was the assigned therapist. It was decided we would have our family visits there. About 7yrs later my grandmother decided she couldn't handle raising me anymore. After trying numerous of therapists & all there " Treatments" & nothing working she said it became overwhelming so off I went. Eventually being placed in a home where thankfully Dr.Kirk was the assigned therapist for there program. He remembered me from my visits with my sister. By that time my anger issues had escalated horribly & I trusted NOBODY! The home I was in prior had me on antipsychotic medication which he instantly said NO to. He taught me how to mentally deal with a mental problem without "NEEDING" prescriptions that would make me mentally worse without them, therefore keeping me totally dependent on them. He refused to give up on me no matter how many outbursts or "fits" I had.... He truly cares about his patients & there rehabilitation. I don't want to even imagine where my life would be if I never had been blessed with this mans services!

Called to see if he was taking new appointments and if he did diagnoses for adults with ADHD. Even though I was just calling to ask if he was taking new patients, he asked why I thought I might have ADHD. Scatter-brained, I explained my circumstances to him and he listened patiently. He then informed me that he is semi-retired (on Google, it actually says his office is permanently closed -- oops!) but gave me next best steps to follow. He also gave me a referral to a doctor who can help me out. From that phone call, it seems he is a super kind/compassionate dude who actually cares about clients.

I love Dr. Kirk! He had a huge impact on me growing up. I am beyond sad with my phone call I just made. I wanted to make my husband an appt. and I asked the receptionist about my insurance. She rudely said "it doesn't matter because they are closed tomorrow and that they weren't excepting new clients." I hope she was just tired.

I have recommended many people to Dr. Kirk, because he is a great therapist. He is kind and compassionate, but is firm when he recognizes that a patient is sabotaging their own therapy. Dr. Kirk is an intelligent man who genuinely cares about his patients.

I would not be where I am today, without the help and expertise of Dr. Kirk. He helped me through some pretty traumatic events. I had been to several counselors/therapists before him. From my first visit with D. Kirk, I knew I was in the right place, and he was the person who could help me, and that everything was going to be ok. He is so professional, knowledgeable on many levels, and has a great sense of humor...when appropriate, of course! Just an overall positive experience!
