Michelle Hartshorn, NP

I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. We have had two appointments with Michelle and both were bad experiences. She was condescending and rude. Michelle started lecturing my Daughter about attracting boys and some other weird comments that were unsolicited. Definitely not someone a young person would go to for help or advice. Especially strange since we were only there for a sports physical. My other Daughter had an equally strange appointment. My Husband needed an urgent care appointment for today and the receptionist was so rude he decided to go somewhere else. She actually yelled in to the phone, "can't you hear?" She also made a comment under her breath and then would not repeat what she said. This all occurred after a very long hold time. This office could be such a great resource in a small town but it is not worth the way you are treated.

SHE IS THE MEANEST,HEARTLESS, CRUELEST, NP THAT SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING,SHE IS SO DUMB,SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHE IS DOING,THANK GOD I DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL OR SEE HER ANYMORE!WHAT A RELIEF!ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES OF 2019!

I thought Michelle was very helpful very knowledgeable and what she does and very caring. I thought the staff was great always in a nice mood and smiling and caring also I give her a A+ plus plus plus. If you need a good doctor and a caring one with knowledge this is the doctor to see Dignity health doctor Michelle and staff.

I found Michelle to be very good at what she does! Condescending? She is just blunt and to the point in regards to your healthcare and what you should/should not do. She reads your chart BEFORE she comes into the room to see you. She has excellent bedside manners and really cares about your well being. She looks you in the eyes to talk to you, not from behind a computer screen or laptop. If you don't want the truth (or you want it sugar-coated), a fast fix, or prescription meds, Michelle might not be a good fit for you. Michelle likes to examine all avenues of healthcare BEFORE prescribing medication. I'm thankful she makes the drive from Bakersfield to care for her patients here in Tehachapi and still maintains a professional, positive, and caring demeanor.

We have been very happy with Michelle Hartshorn and are very grateful to have her! My husband and I are both very happy to have her for our doctor!

I love this doctor. She sits down and talks to you like a human being. She is very compassionate and thorough. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

She was condescending & I just didn’t get the feeling she’s very good at what she does. Do yourself a favor and just find a better health group.
