Unprofessional comment
I was with husband during his office visit, problem was his weight loss. She pointed a finger at me and said something to the effect:"I wish I had a magic wand I would point to her and send 20 lbs to you" - meaning my husband. Yes, I am overweight, I hate myself for being overweight, I know I am overweight, I work daily at trying to lose weight. The NP's remark was hurtful and inappropriate and totally unprofessional. And yes, if I could I would give my husband the 20+ lbs he has lost but weight loss isn't magic and I have physical problems that preclude my dropping weight in a fast manner. I doubt I will see her again and as my husband's HCP, I will steer him to another NP or doctor.
