I saw him years ago and normally do not complain or attempt to be negative towards people, but unfortunately my experience was the worst. My blood pressure was slightly elevated and he wanted to prescribe medication for it. I asked if there was an alternative and he said yes you can just have a heart attack. He is rude and very uncaring and has clearly chosen the wrong career choice

Dismissive of my concerns, incorrect testing
Mr. Guthrie was dismissive of my concerns that I brought to the visit, despite me telling him my symptoms and previous testing done--even showing him the results. He also talked down to me while doing this, assuming that I didn't understand anything about my potential health condition. He was incredibly rude, and I would not recommend any of my friends or family to see this man.

This is my 3rd review on Dr Guthrie/crnp.He is a very good doctor,my levels far as cholesterol an diabetes remain to be good because of his advice to me,my problem is with family medicine they should have more communications with their patients. I had an appointment with Dr Guthrie about 2 months ago, when I got their they tell me his schedule was changed ,very unprofessional, I feel someone from the office should have called. They gave me a young doctor I never seen,no complaints he did satisfy my medical needs,Jefferson Family Medicine should practice communicating with their patients or retrain their medical assistants. Morton has been the only medical professional at Jefferson that I was very dissatisfied with. He treated me very poorly, spoke to me like I was an idiot, and told me I was lying when I told him my symptoms. He was very clearly not interested in doing any actual work. He was rude, did not explain anything, only saw me for about 3 minutes, and then left.

Went in to refill a prescription - not only did he submit the prescription request with the wrong birthday, but he made it for the incorrect quantity creating a nightmare with my insurance. It's taken almost 20 days to get in touch with him to remedy the situation and now I am just giving up. Save yourself some time, go somewhere else!

Excellent knowledge/caring/service. As I write this, there is only one review for him and it simply MUST be someone else they were thinking of. Mort is the single most attentive G.P. I have ever worked with. He takes the time to discuss any and all concerns, asks about related issues (e.g., checking on my insurance to be sure he's prescribing the best choice for my situation, etc.). Jefferson's front office work has some minor technology issues, but worth it for this provider.
