He minimalizes anything said and often seems like he's gaslighting you. Takes ages to reply to portal messages and phone calls; I can't tell if the office is understaffed or just unbothered but communication is lacking. There is one very sweet nurse, aside from that it is an overall poor experience. A trip to Peoria Children's Hospital is worth the drive for thorough (and faster) results.

I (mom) would ask a question and he would turn to my husband to answer it. Everything he explained was straight to my husband and he could hardly make eye contact with me. My son, who was later diagnosed with multiple food allergies, was diagnosed with colic and told that it will go away by 6 months. Nevermind the fact that he couldn't keep formula down, had explosive green diarrhea, an allergic rash from head to toe, and screamed 15 hours a day and all of this resolved with changing to hypoallergenic formula. We were advised to go back to the previous formula to save money and that we didn't need gi. Newsflash Dr. Wang, it didn't go away at 6 months and my child has now been diagnosed with multiple food allergies including milk and soy. Anyone with a brain would know there is something wrong I don't know how this man is a physician.

This provider informed me that he was not even sure if a child with developmental disability like my son could feel pain and mocked my son by imitating his arching and writhing as he dismissed his pain. He rolled his eyes and said where he’s from, kids get like 5 foods and they learn to eat them. My child has gtube and dysphasia and aspiration risk and could not safely do that, but he acted like it was a refusal. This doctor was prepared to let my child be uncomfortable forever. We changed provider and have had much improvement.

Dr. Wang is AWESOME! So nice to see someone be a doctor for the right reason. He is really good at what he does. He's great with our child (and us!) and always knows what is going on, what to expect next, and how to resolve the issues.
