Dr. Murtaza Merali, OD

As my IOL in my right eye got dislodged, I was referred by my Ophtalmologist to Murtaza Merali OD, Optometrist, to give me an external eye lense, so I can see. My Ophtalmologist Dr. Zak, after examining my eyes, has said I could have surgery to have the old IOL removed, if I wanted, but it was optional, not necessary. The external contact lense would be good enough to get my vision restored. My appointment with Murtaza Merali OD was yesterday. He not only questioned the integrity of Dr. Zak, but dismissed Dr. Zak's prescription for a contact lense altogether, yelling at me that I MUST HAVE EYE SURGERY IMMEDIATELY. I told him Dr. Zak had a different opinion, which he completely disregarded. I needed an IOL with a 21 strenth. He alleged he had only a 8 lense and refused to order a custom-made 21 lense. He is unqualifed to qestion Dr. Zak. OD Merali is THE WORST Ophtalmologist.

Was not very good. Did a quick review of my eyes and said they were the same as last year. Asked for a prescription on my way out and was told they are not paid from my insurance for that. I have ordered lenses and frames twice and they lasted less than 8 months. I will ask my insurance if there is someone else I can use or pay for it somewhere else in the future.
