Neelu Chawla, LMFT

I found in Neelu Chawla someone who really heard me and met me where I was at. She listened. For someone in my situations, that is something I really needed. She made accommodations to be available with my schedule (evening appointments), which did not go unnoticed. She understood me, and knew that I needed to understand things as someone who needs to intellectualize things. Unfortunately, my work just changed our insurance and I do not know what to do, because I don't think our work was done. :( I am so grateful for the insight and help she provided me in a time I really needed it. Saw Neelu several years ago in both individual and couples contexts (red flag one - this shouldn’t happen). She started out ok but then shifted into a seriously problematic string of poor business practices and problematic behavior. Seek ethical, evidence based care elsewhere.

Needs to have her license revoked. Never EVER have I encountered a therapist this outrageously unprofessional.

I'm thankful for her presence in our community and as a therapist. I recommend meeting her for personal help and couples therapy - one session felt like a breakthrough for me. It was a gateway to open up and realize therapy and counseling as a part of supporting everyday mental health and consciousness in ways that everyone can benefit. I have know Neelu since 8th grade. I have seen her evolve over the past 35 years from student to therapist to include spiritual depth to her practice and continue to develop and evolve her own spirituality with time. She uses her spiritual depth and understands different human emotions to guide and help others find peace within themselves and integrity.

Neelu is a fantastic therapist--easy to talk to, open minded, very kind and caring. She has helped me tremendously through some very difficult life experiences.

You are not a passive recipient, Neelu does not dictate. She walks with you through the parts of yourself that need exploring, you will find new places together.

Neelu is one of the most helpful, intelligent and passionate therapists I know. I work in the social service field so I know a few. Neelu has been my therapist for the past five years. It is an understatement to say, she has helped me though so much. Neelu has never judged me or been quick to give her personal opinions. When we meet, she listens to me, helps me convert my emotions into concrete needs and then I can address them. Many people will benefit just from this but if you are open, Neelu can offer meditative solutions that connect body with mind and mind with body. She has literally changed my life’s path for example, she helped me find a different job and I double my income. She also helped me cope with infertility. I recommend Neelu to anyone who deals with anxiety and depression. Also anyone with goals, she is very helpful and has helped me get every life hardship. I cannot stress enough how much she has helped me.

Neelu has helped me on an individual and couples based level. She has grasped my character in a way no other therapist has been able to. Our meetings offer real solutions to issues beyond normal talk therapy. She provides useful exercises for her clients to incorporate into their lives to help with whatever they are facing. Her therapy also has basis in Eastern philosophy that has been incredibly spiritually and emotionally expansive for me. She truly cares about her clients and puts her whole heart into helping them see their true worth and potential. I would recommend Neelu to anyone who has seen limited results from talk therapy in the past, as well as those who feel creatively or emotionally stuck. She has helped my in person, as well as over the phone and FaceTime, which has been helpful whether I’m near or far. In Neelu you will find a true ally who will let you know that whatever your battles, you are in it together.

Neelu is a intent listener and speaks with kindness. She is tough love when needed to address the difficult issues that often arise in the therapy setting. I always feel that my mental health is improving while talking with Neelu.

Neelu is an amazing therapist! She has worked with a diverse group of people, which allows here to effectively assist individuals and families throughout the community. I can personally attest to her ability to connect and work with military families, which is arguably one of the most diverse and difficult populations out there.
