I came with a clear understanding of what led me to my thoughts, attitudes, and perspective on life. I also came with clear goals of what I want, and what hasn't helped in the past. For two months, we talked in circles about my experiences. Each session I had to repeat things we had already covered previously. I consistently reminded the therapist my goals were, that our meetings were not helpful, and that I continued to suffer. By the end of our sessions, I was no closer at all to any of my goals, and I still continue to struggle with feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, anger, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. All the therapist did was give me links to generic videos and techniques and, when I said that these were unhelpful, or that I had tried them already, she just blamed me, saying these techniques were backed by scientific evidence. I was blindsided on our last session, with it ending abruptly, with her saying "I wish you well," as her final words. Extremely unhelpful.
