Not a great fit
It’s been over a year since I saw Norah. It was when there was still a mask mandate and she wasn’t wearing a mask. I felt judged for wearing one. My therapist had stopped working and recommended Norah.I didn’t feel like Norah was the type of person that I could be open with. I had some significant issues and wanted someone that would be both helpful and accepting without judging. After the appt I decided it was better to have no therapist than someone I wasn’t comfortable with

A baffling mix of sensitivity and insensitivity
I imagine that if a person "clicks" with her style, she could be helpful: a gentle manner, caring, a commitment to feelings, and a process that (I suspect) might provide healing. However, there was another side to her: she was sometimes controlling, less than honest, poor communicator, lacking sensitivity, blaming, confusing, unsophisticated in understanding, rigid, maybe a speck of gaslighting. I walked out of my final session feeling mistreated, raw and confused.

I went for my first appointment, to meet Norah, And she just stared at me. Twenty minutes went by and she barely said a word. It was humiliating and pointless. I left.
