I had a disappointing experience with Norma Berlin in working with my family for family therapy. It seems she lacks expertise with family systems but may be more qualified in individual therapy. She would sometimes make sexist statements such as "Usually moms and girls like to shop together, have you done that," which would rub me the wrong way. Norma tended to assign homework assignments that didn't seem to pay off rather than understanding and exploring our family dynamic. If you are looking for a therapist who is old-fashioned, she may be a better fit for you.
