Dr. Patience Agbodzie, DNP

I was seen by this provider via telemedicine. She was convinced since I went to Mexico that I had to have Covid at the beginning of the appointment. It was very frustrating that she wasn’t listening to what I had to say and then told me I have to have a throat screen and to into be seen when I just saw a provider in Mexico and my throat wasn’t healed. I did a TytoCare visit so she was able to see my throat during the visit. Said i need to either get a throat screen then she’ll prescribe me something or go see another provider at urgent care. So much for having a telemedicine visit. I was getting frustrated and she wrote in my appointment that i was uncooperative even though i listened to her and said I was going to go into be seen as I needed care before I’m more sick. Very discouraging provider that I don’t wish to ever be placed with again.

I saw her as a telehealth visit. Had her mind made up even before we spoke. Was not interested in hearing my complains. Had extremely unprofessional language in her note.

Dr. Agbodzie was very helpful and humorus.

I saw Dr. Patience Agbodzie via telehealth because I was home with 3 sick children who had all tested positive for flu A two days prior. I started to exhibit symptoms, so I scheduled an appt for a flu script. As with the majority of my Allegheny Health Network experiences, this was a colossal waste of time. Dr. Agbodzie never once made eye contact with me. She did not ask appropriate questions to gauge my status. She did not consider that I had taken a fever reducer and, shockingly, no longer had a fever. She refused to prescribe me the flu medicine. Instead, she insisted that I go somewhere to get tested for Covid (with three sick kids who have flu A?). She prescribed a nasal spray (why?). She also suggested that I try a honey remedy when, clearly, I am allergic to bees and honey on my chart. She even put it in my notes! It was clear she was not interested in listening to me. As a woman, this is commonly my experience with AHN & doctors like Patience Agbodzie.

This nurse practitioners behavior was so unprofessional, judgmental - rude and ridiculous. I've never been treated this way by any sort of healthcare professional in my entire life. She belittled, dehumanized and embarrassed me, wasted my time in that I could not seek any other medical treatment due to the time, nor would my insurance company pay for another visit in the same day by a different provider. I had to schedule another visit the following day with another drs office who treated my condition effectively and appropriately since Ms Agbodzie refused to. If you want an awful experience, I suggest you recieve services from this provider. If you want real medical care, go someplace else. She's only recieving 1star bc you have to put something. I already lodged complaints w/ insurance company and AHN and will continue to spread the word about this Individual until she is counseled on how to appropriately perform PT care.
