I thought the provider was extremely unprofessional and this is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in the medical setting. I was being seen for a sore throat and was looking to be tested for strep and somehow that turned into a conversation about my acne. I was completely shocked and did not know what to say when the provider specifically said “What is going on with your face?” This is extremely offensive and unnecessary for a PA, with no experience in dermatology, to comment on my acne. If I came for acne concerns, that should be addressed, but instead was pointed out by the provider without that even being an issue I came there for. This made me extremely self conscious and made me feel bad about my skin. No medical professional should ever speak to someone like that, I will finding a medical place that respects me as a patient and helps me with the issue I am having. Medical professionals should for one, be professional, understanding, and respectful of their patient.
