Dr. Perry Castellano, OD

I refer people all the time! Dr. Perry is outstanding and reasonable!!! in addition to being trustworthy and all the qualities you want in a doctor.

Dr. Castellano is unquestionably the best optometrist you can find in Wilmington. He is very pleasant and professional, but most importantly he is obsessed with the health of my eyes. He keeps extensive digital records which he compares at each visit to determine if there have been any changes to my eyes. He takes the time with me to ensure my eyesight is corrected properly, and I will never use anyone else to care for my eyesight.

Exceptional. Probably one of the most thorough, sincere and humorous doctors I’ve encountered. Upon reviewing the picture of my left eye all joking stopped and he showed me a small spec in my left eye and he explained that spec was plaque from my left carotid aretery. He recommended I see my primary care doctor as soon as possible since there was the possibility of a stroke or death when the artery becomes blocked by plaque. I’m scheduled to see my doctor within 20 hours of his diagnosis and recommendation. Thank God he is so thorough. A true blessing, especially with Christmas in two days. Bob

On Saturday evening 11/28, Dr. Castellano stayed late to see me on an walk-in emergency basis to treat a wood working particle that was lodged in my eye. He performed the recommended treatment twice to make sure the debris was removed and offered to see me again in two days if the problem was not resolved. Within a few hours I was back to normal--problem solved. Dr. Castellano is a fantastic optician, explains everything as he goes through the procedure, and is an all around great guy. I really appreciate a doctor that is an expert clinician and who has the ability and interest talk through the issue with patients. Dr. Castellano's receptionist also deserves five-star credit for adjusting his schedule so that he could see me on an emergency basis. Bottom lines: excellent medical care and they accepted my insurance!

Dr. Castellano is very friendly and efficient. His staff is warm and inviting as is his office. I am completely happy with my change in eye doctors from my previous one to Dr. Castellano.
